<<<< This was what the motor looked like when I purchased this car.

Below are the results of my work in 2004.

Motor started up on February 23, 2005

I couldn’t seem to get past a sputter so in an effort to get gas to the carburetor I decided to hook up a hose to the overflow vent and back fill the float chamber with gas from the overflow port. This worked. Even with the slow crank and the bad positive cable once she had gas she fired right up. It idled great and was strong & responsive on acceleration. Oil pressure was up over 40 psi and vacuum was ¾ gauge at 20 inches of mercury and steady at a fast idle with valve tappets quite.
