Monday  April 1 & 2, 2008

Vacation time continued.

  • The weather just wasn't ideal for painting so I decided to continue with the last of body prep.

Tuesday

  • I pulled the car out of it's winter home and turned her around so that I could work on the trunk area.
  • Wednesday will be the last of the sunny days followed by a cold front, so it looks like some yard work in the morning and sanding or sand blasting in the afternoon.
  • Today I purchased a 20 gallon sand blaster.  I have been using my neighbors but it leaks like a sieve and really isn't all that affective.   I think this is a good $139.00 investment since I still have a lot of parts that need to be cleaned up.

Sanding, sanding, and more sanding. !!!

Wednesday

  • More of the same tedious time consuming work.  All surfaces painted with a premium rust stop

After I sand the passenger side rear quarter I will remove the fender and space it away from the body so that when the finished coat is completed I can remove the fender again and insert the edge welting.

Getting closer and closer....
