Title: radiator photo
Post by: chalten on September 09, 2009, 09:31:09 PM
Hello everyone,
Can anyone upload a nice looking photo of a radiator front. The radiator I had on the car had one design. I was looking at a very nicely restored ply this last weekend, and has a honeycomb. I was quite surprised to see this. So now I have the doubt of what was the original design. if anyone can help I will be more than appreciative.
best regards,

Hi

Here are a few pics of my 29U radiator. If you would like some more let me know.
Mine also had an honeycomb radiator.

So is my 29.  That is the correct type for the period.

Thanks all for your replies. I am right now in Tokyo heading home and was not able to check the board during the long and tiring trip. I am confused, I thought the radiator ought to have been celular grid (check the cores on this page http://www.vintagecarradiatorcompany.co.uk/page2.html). All Plys I have seen in Argentina this far (about 4) none have honeycomb and another one had also celular, so I thought it should have been the original... well too much of lack of knowledge then... I would appreciate a front photo similar to the ones on the webpage to be sure of the exact design of the honeycomb. Thanks again to everyone!!!
