I was told that the vacuum wiper motor on my car can not be rebuilt and that it was an early after market replacement for the original Trico.  Could anyone send me a picture of what the wiper assembly on the 1929, 4 door sedan look like or what yours looks like.  I was told that these are pretty rare in that they generally didn't survive being mounted on the exterior.  (Is it suppose to be mounted on the exterior ??)  Does anybody make an exterior mounted replacement for our cars or for the Fords of the era?

Hey Chet, Seems the trunk of my ole 29 Coupe has a lot of stuff in it. LOL.
I have a wiper motor, I am sure that came off this car because the car is converted to electric wipers now and I am satisfied with that and not changing back to vacuum, Take a look at these pictures, is this what you need, all the mechanisms work fine. I took it apart and all seems good. Looks like someone done some work on it, but all on the exterior, whatever..... and awful dirty lol

Glenn,

That. looks like it would bolt on.  Email me at chetbrz@aol.com and let me know what you might want for the motor.

By the way how is the electric setup.  Did you use the motors for the Ford A ??

tks,  Chet...

Hey Chet, It's yours. Send me your address, I will mail it to you. No charge, If I can help someone -- great. The electric wiper motor (one) was on the car when I got it, and one extra in the trunk (marvelous trunk lol) Mine looks like there may never have been two wipers on the windshield...? The electric one is on the same place as the vacuum would have been, on the outside of the cab.

I haven't started looking yet, but.....
Is there a "special" type of wiper blade that will fit the 1929 wiper motor, or do you find something and make it fit? Or what do you all do?

Glenn,

Check a Model A Ford website.  Based on the pictures you sent me for your EA Lab motors they may use a hook type blade like the Ford.  The hook blades are $2.50 each in the below link.  If not you could probably replace the wire arm so that you can use these replacement blades.

Good luck,  Chet...
