Does anyone have any pictures of the hangers for the engine pipe, muffler and tail pipe on a 30-U.  I have the bracket for the rear of the muffler but that is all. Thanks.

Articifer Tom

Here is tailpipe hanger on  UF 10 that uses a car frame . It is two piece , i replicated for my UF . The muffler is supported front and rear . that is three location of hangers . Your lube chart in BOI will probably show .

Thanks, I needed that one as I was unsure where it was placed.  The lube chart shows another at the rear of the muffler, which I have, and a third one in front of the muffler which seems to come out from the frame.  Do you have any pictures of that one?

Articifer Tom

here is pic of rear . Front is same only sideways off frame rail . Do not have pic but can take one tomorrow .

Articifer Tom

oops backwards  ..Poor front pic .

I looked back at some of my build pictures and found this one.

There is also one that attaches to the bell housing I'll try to find a pic.

Good one Chet . That's what it looks like . Never knew about one off trans support . I'll check for evidence of on mine tomorrow .

Thanks to everyone for the pictures.  Good to see the bell housing support as that does not show on the lubrication chart.  Without it there would be a long unsupported span from the exhaust manifold to the muffler.

The pictures I post were what I found on my car. I don't know if there were there originally but they appear to be period.

I hope this helps.

It helps a lot.  Unfortunately, unless someone has a totally unmolested car there is no way to be sure what is correct.  My car was in regular service until 1972 so I am sure it had at least one replacement exhaust system and I assume that was done without regard to originality.  Oddly, I have what I think is clearly the original hanger bracket at the rear of my muffler and it is different from what you have.  That may be unique to the 30-U model.  I tried to post a picture but it is too large and trying to resize from my i-pad appears to be well beyond my skill set.

Russ I didn't post pictures after the muffler Tom did.  Mine are different than original and installed by a muffler shop years ago. Everything from my muffler to the engine was there when I acquired the car back in 2006.  Everything after the muffler is fabricated.
