Excellent job!

Which model wiper motor does this fit?

I can't help with the washers but I believe the slotted screws are 1/4 20 3/8" length.  If you can't get locally you can order from boltdepot.com.

Link to screws

Check your sample make sure they are 1/4 20 TPI.  Very common.  If you only need a couple (10 or 20) I have a box of them.

I feel your pain.  There is minimal information available for the early years.  Still the POC would be the most critical judge, but it seems that you have already gone down that road.  As of Q3 2023, Nick Romano is listed as Tech Advisor for your year. I PM the contact info.

I wish that I could help you but maybe you should try the Technical Advisor for 1930, 30U, PA from the Plymouth Owners Club.  If you need contact info send me a PM or an email.

That seems to be Par for the course.  Hopefully more young people get involved in the old car hobby.

I'm as guilty as everyone else.  I have been focused on repairs to my 48 Plymouth and spending a lot of time with local car club activities.

Hopefully 2024 will be a brighter year for the forum.

Happy New Year

Hi Ted,  sorry for the late response.  Down on the space coast visiting with my daughter and grandkids.   Have a great new year and to all a good life.

Thanks for the picture, the car looks great. Sorry to hear about your pastor.

Nice to hear that someone is out on the road in December.

Tom is right.  At the 12:00 o'clock position no effect on acceleration.

See attached picture which shows the linkage and its motion.   Arrows show direction.

You cannot view this attachment.

Set up everything in the 12 o'clock position and you are done.

Quote from: Touring29Hey Chet one thing I don't have is the strainer cap screw & gasket. Ours just has a piece of hose clamped to the nipple that sticks out. It works but looks bad. Do you have one you want to sell? I can't tell if the screw will tighten up or not since I don't have one.

I'll see what I might have if I can remember where I put the leftovers.

Could be a vacuum leak.

Maybe intake manifold gasket or carburetor gasket or some other possible point.  Maybe the point where the wiper line connects to the intake manifold.

My 2 cents

On my car there wasn't any visible welting between the running board and the kick panel.  I have only owned the car for 17 out of the 94 years this car has been around.  The reason I say visible welting is that in some areas, where metal meets metal, there was visible signs of a thin fibrous material used in the joining.  But not visible after the joining.

This is my 2 cents so I hope others will share their experiences.

I'll see what I can answer.

The Front.

The joint you circled in the picture is supposed to be just that, no visible fender welt.

The Running board is supposed to have stainless steel outer Trim. See picture.

The Rear fender I used either 1/4" or 5/16" black vinal welting.  Currently don't remember which one.

Mine seems to be working ok since I worked out all the bugs. Logged about 230+ miles with the Kingston.
