Not surprised . They recently talked about how brass cracked on these aged fittings on aaca forums . I found one on mine and had another crack on reinstall of master . the copper line has not been problem . but you will lose length to re flare  for new fitting . Most are replacing with copper, coated or looking (conifur ) tubing , I believe it was called . Easier to bend and looks correct .

Hello Chet and All . Yeah , has been quite here of late . Boy , I miss the good times at Indian River . Use to camp the state park there every Labor Day . Parents had friend in Potsnet . Great clamming on the sand bars in that bay .
Been feel well this year, so got a few hundred miles on '31 this year . Still doing restore on, as I go . Tried to change carb back to Carter brass bowl 209 . Big failure would not start . Tring to get in touch with rebuilder ,as idle tube leaks at top . Think maybe problem . Miss seeing your restore posts .
Wife and I attended Macungie car show past weekend . Man it's  die'in . In three years I been going to down over 25 percent on swap area and cars even more . But they did advertise adding a beer fest to  toy fest there . Did not see it .  Can not wait until Hershey .

General Discussion / Fans Self Destructing

Any of you been following the AACA thread on Mopar 20's and 30's fan developing cracks because of lap design and age w/  flexing ?
Some have exploded taking out radiators and punching through the hood doors . Many are replacing with modern six blade racing fans trimmed and balanced .

General Discussion / Fuel Line ? Steel or Copper
March 31, 2019, 03:54:24 PM
My steel fuel line needs replacing , not sure if it is original . Changes  to copper going thur frame in front before going up onto fuel pump .  Thought anyone , It is my '31Dodge  with PA 4 cyl engine .

My same problem , no tail pipe . Pic is from another's truck that he sold . Chet your lube chart should show the routing of exhaust . I am looking to bend up a hanger then bend my own pipe having access to a exhaust and conduit bender .
#238
Thanks Chet .  The pipe is under tank to back end . Can be seen in this pic .  It shows going back over axle ,down between axle and oval tank , then to back  . I am surprised had no responses here or aaca . Maybe cars are different then the trucks .

Pic of Dodge and maybe other Mopars tail pipe extension and clamp . Would like stock sizes and measurement to repo for mine , truck . Also pipe OD . Thanks in advance .

General Discussion / Re: What’s happening?

Was thinking same thing . Just finished 8 wks Physical rehab and feeling good . Removed my master cylinder from the '31 Dodge truck and send out to be sleeved . Was creaping down on long hold and was last part not rebuild two years ago when truck went on road . Hope to get on a manual fuel shutoff system by tank next week .
Did you get your engine back yet Chet ?
