I'm wondering what size/type of fender welting I shall use for the 1929 2-door Sedan.
I found one supplier: https://www.steelerubber.com/ ok?

1. Is it a list between front fender and frame? (see image)
2. Is it a list between running board and frame (see image)

I'll see what I can answer.

The Front.

The joint you circled in the picture is supposed to be just that, no visible fender welt.

The Running board is supposed to have stainless steel outer Trim. See picture.
You cannot view this attachment.

The Rear fender I used either 1/4" or 5/16" black vinal welting.  Currently don't remember which one.

Steel products are good quality and they usually fit properly unlike a lot of repro stuff.  They are pricey but worth it.   I bought a number of things from them for my 30-U coupe and was very satisfied.

Thanks for the information,

So there is no rubber between the running board frame and the main frame?

On my car there wasn't any visible welting between the running board and the kick panel.  I have only owned the car for 17 out of the 94 years this car has been around.  The reason I say visible welting is that in some areas, where metal meets metal, there was visible signs of a thin fibrous material used in the joining.  But not visible after the joining.

This is my 2 cents so I hope others will share their experiences.

Thank you
I will add a thin nitrile rubber sheet between the parts.

Camper top seal is good for places where you want a thin seal that won't stick to both sides. Tri-Five people often use it between the flippers and the roof on hardtops. It makes parts adjustment a lot easier than something sticky on both sides.

is the Self Adhesive Camper Mount Foam Tape -same as the Camper top seal?

Articifer Tom

I believe the parts book calls for liner between running boards and splash panels and welt on end s . Definition of each I do not know . But personal use gaffers tape for liner . I is thin similar to duct tape . sticks one side .
