Our local AACA club sponsored a special Southeastern meet this past October.  I showed my 1929 Plymouth U 4 door sedan in the Driver Participation category.

here are a few pictures The plaque includes a placard from when it was last shown at an AACA meet, in 1981!  (I was overseas in the Army and my uncle took my car to the show ion Orlando Florida, near my parents' home.

There were a few other Plymouths in the show - including a 1934 PE.  I should have taken pictures of them too. 

Does anyone know how the line from the Kingston vacuum fuel pump to the carb was shaped?  I put in a stainless steel line with a loop in it to allow for some vibration, but the vibration still caused the fitting on the fuel pump to loosen. I have used a modern flexible fuel line successfully for years, but I know that was not used originally, but that a rigid metal line was used.  Given that the engine vibrates some, how was that line shaped and connected to prevent the firings from getting loose?

This handle came off a windshield bracket exactly like the one on my 1929 Plymouth 4Door, but it has a different design on the handle.  It has the same 3/8 inch square drive.  I understand there was a delux trim line Plymouth, but have no information on that.

Can anyone identify the year, make and model of the car this handle likely came off of?

I need to ship a part from Alabama to Australia. Can anyone advise me on the least expensive method?

I am downsizing and getting ready to move and have a few parts looking for a new home, most for 29U:  Refurbished camshaft with fiber gear installed; tail light stem (believe it's for a 30 or 31 though), windshield riser handle and escutcheon (appears to be from a delux model, not sure though), 31 clutch pressure plate and disk, fully refurbished (was going to install on my 29, but my tranny has a weld repair that interfered with this newer style pressure plate), brake master cylinder (needs refurbishment); emergency brake band assembly, oil filler tube and cap, intake manifold (has braze repair), crankshaft pulley ( has braze repair), black spare tire cover 20 inch, tan cloth spare tire cover NOS for 19 inch tire (from Jay Fisher),  DRT-08 Carb (Needs work), DRJH-08 (similar to 28Q), four original hubcaps (beat up but serviceable), one set of gas tank straps, right front door glass channel (new), original dash (has holes from where a radio and starter button were installed), Refurbished AC G-14 spark plugs (Auth alternate from G-12 original), Klaxon 12C horn (works but is dinged up a lot), exhaust manifold, valve cover, set of piston rods, freeze plugs (new).

Will pull off anything that sells to keep this updated. Will pull it down after. 12 months regardless.  Can send a picture of anything you are interested in

My daughter and I took the 29 sedan to our local Texaco for a fill-up with Ethanol free gas today, then drove to the Tennessee River.  ( My daughter was anxious for us the get moving again to get the "air conditioning " working again!)

Great cold but clear day in North Alabama for a drive to the old Huntsville Marina on the Tennessee River

It was such a warm beautiful Christmas Eve day in North Alabama, I had to take the 29 for a drive with my two youngest in the back seat.  The Tennessee River is in the background.   Merry Christmas to all!

Great day for a drive, warm and dry, unusual even in Alabama this time of year, so my youngest daughter and I took the 29 out for a 26 mile cruise.  Unfortunately did not stop for a picture, so got one afterwards.

I am not able to upload an pictures.  I keep getting a message saying the path cannot be found.

Went for a 26 mile drive today. It was good to get the 29 out for a drive.  Stopped to get gas at my regular ethanol free gas's station and they were out of gas. Oh well, it was good to get out anyway.

It is curious that the low mark on the dip stick is at the practically empty point.  The manual stats, "The engine should never be operated when the oil is below the half full point of the indicator rod."  Seams like the "Low" should read "Empty"


When the oil is below the letter "F" it will take a quart to top it off.

It is such a nice day, couldn't resist the urge to go for a drive in the 29.  We drove out to Clouds Cove, a farming area nestled between the hills and the Tennessee River Southwest of Huntsville, Alabama.  We drive 40 miles round trip.

Saturday mornings are good times to take her on a drive since there a few other cars on the road. We stopped by the volunteer fire station and took some pictures.  Now to reduce the size so I can post!

Has anyone installed a 1931 Plymouth clutch on a 1929 Plymouth?  It looks like it will fit, but there are some part number differences in the fork and bell housing, so I wonder....

I need information on how to adjust the clutch on a 1930 U Plymouth.  I am installing a 1930U clutch on my 1929U Plymouth.  A release lever broke on the original clutch on my 1929U. I have located a 1930U clutch pressure plate assy. I installed it in the car and it appears to fit, but I need to know how to adjust it.
