Yesterday drove 30U Plymouth 220 klms , did not miss a beat ! Average 14.93 mpg this included hwy driving hills and averaged 78 klm/h  2,900 rpm .
Quite proud of the old girl !!

Doug

That's Great. How is the steering after you worked on it?

Tinkeys

Hi Doug !
Steering is quit good now ! It used to wander and was way light , since made 3deg. Wedges to angle king pin inclination top to rear and it fixed the problem.

Congratulations, sounds like a great trip.  48.4 mph is a hefty cursing speed.  My car likes 35/40 mph.  56/64 kph.

Cheers, Chet...

Hi all !
Haven't taken her to sale yet maybe soon !
Have spent a lot of time on trying to tune engine for our modern fuel ,not an easy task, I found that if you put to much advance it will hammer the valves and pistons, not enough will run sluggish and run hotter,so it's a compromise to find a happy medium.
I am using 91 octane unleaded with 40ml per tank of valve saver additive.

Drove 30u today has been about 3 or 4 weeks , seems like forever !!!

Last month I retired the Plymouth from the road ! It's now unregisted and will gradually be restored ! I can take my time with it as I have the 34 to drive.
Cheers Tony.
