Hi Chet.
Still having fun with my 1956 Thunderbird. In the process of moving to Winchester. Found a house with the required garage.

General Discussion / Restoration Garage TV show
March 11, 2021, 02:09:08 PM
Last night on the Motor Trend cable channel, the show called Restoration Garage featured a 1928 Plymouth Q 4 door . Did anyone else see the show? It may be available on demand or in reruns.

I have used Paul's Chrome. The work was excellent but not inexpensive.

I don't know if it will expand the possible sources or not, but that looks exactly like the overhead interior light in my 1941 Plymouth woodie.

Good news Chet. How far did you get to drive her?

General Discussion / Re: Hot Days here in Virginia

Chet,
Looks good. Looking forward to seeing it in person at Sully on Sunday. I agree the heat has been terrible but it is supposed to break tonight. With a little bit of luck it looks like I may have my wagon on the road by Sunday. Today's goal is to get the hood installed. BTW, have you received your registration for Sully? I sent mine in a couple of weeks ago and have not received anything yet.

Chet,
I totally agree with you and your approach. I wasn't implying that you should look into buying the repo's but rather just confirming that the original running boards were metal and not wood.

Chet,
In the classified section of the latest Plymouth Bulletin, there is an ad for repo running boards for '28, '29 and '30 Plymouths. They are metal and the seller states that they are reproduced from originals with part numbers. You might want to take a look. Certainly not cheap at $895.

Thanks Chet. Looks like it only comes in black but I will search as you suggested.
I am a regular visitor to this site and enjoy it. Nice work.
I have just about completed reassembling my replacement engine for my car. The next step is to remove the one that is in there now and to also go through the transmission. The plan is to have it on the road this year, hopefully before Sully. That plan includes giving you a ride.
How is the P15 coming?
