Title: split rim tool
Post by: Rusty on September 30, 2009, 04:38:32 PM
I will need to get the tires off and am looking for a split rim tool.  Could someone post a photo of theirs?  Do they have three or only two legs that pry the tire off?  Do you need different sizes for different size rims or would any anitque tool work?  thanks

Mine has three legs and has about 3 inches of play.  I never tried it on any other size wheel.  Sorry I don't have any pics of it right now.

There are two on ebay right now.  I think the link below is the better of the current two.  The come up quite frequently.  The one I have is an Atlas.

They do come in different sizes.  Check the diameter of your wheels.  Jim  (I think the model T's are too long)
