General Discussion / 1929 U type chassis number
May 12, 2020, 03:09:15 PM
Hi. My 1929 U type is missing it's chassis number identifiers. It has a small plate with Holden stamped on it with a 4 digit number 2072.  It's engine number is U100113.  Is there any way of finding out what the chassis number might be and is it possible to get a plate made up to replace the original. Many thanks. Mick

General Discussion / 1929 U Tourer roof
December 30, 2019, 02:36:56 PM
Hi all
My recently acquired 1929 tourer came with a badly worn roof and no wooden cross spars.  I have been able to restore the hinged components.  I need to make up spars but need to know how they are attached to the hinged bits and how they look when complete.  I'm particularly interested in how the forward one is attached to the windshield.  I do have the pattern for the roof material from the original. I wonder if anybody has a few photos of the setup.

Kind regards
Mick
