Here I thought I had something unique, this thing is its twin. Same discolored hood paint, even has a trunk.

Someone replaced/updated the door handles to something else. Also looks to have a Stewart Werner vacuum canister (Not Kingston) But quite find!

Nice car Dave, I especially like the spare in the wheel well. Do you think that was stock or a dealer upgrade.

Who knows, it is a significant modification to a standard piece of sheet metal. I have not saw it on a Plymouth model previously.

That looks factory like my truck . You can see bar and lock system .  In '31 they moved to passenger side . Also could order opposite for second spare .

Tom,

I was just wondering if the car could be ordered with that fender and trunk from the factory or was it fitted at the dealership ??  Not important just curious ?

I would say factory ,during assembly . The bracket on back of tire  goes direct down to frame .  The parts are list in Master Parts Book .  Trunk maybe dealer, as need not be painted .

I believe you could order the wheel well fenders, one or both.  They were extra, like the bumpers.  I don't remember seeing a trunk on the options list for '29, so I'd guess it was dealer applied?  Interesting the trunk isn't in the Accessories section of the Master Parts List for Q, U, 30U.  Maybe by April '34 they weren't selling them for the older models.

Anyone note the newer accelerator pedal?
