General Discussion / Re: Happy Labor Day All !
September 07, 2021, 09:32:05 AM
Hi Tom,

Nice to hear from you.  I haven't been doing much car related stuff lately.  With all the rain we had over the summer.., basically cutting grass every 4 days.  It's like painting a bridge, you think you're finished but just have to start over again.  I'm glad someone out there is having a little fun.

The site has been really dead.  In the 14 years I have had this site up and running, this is the quietest summer in memory.  I assume people have bigger fish to fry these days.

I hope you enjoyed the weekend,  Chet...

Russ,

Sorry to hear of your illness.  I am glad you are starting to heal and out of the hospital.  It's unfortunate that hospitals are so busy these days.  Its good that you are out now and hopefully you will get stronger with every rehab session.  You stay safe, the work will be waiting for you when you are ready to get back into the drivers seat.  The site has been so quiet I hope everyone is doing fine.

Chet...

Test:

OK  it looks like it is fixed.  FYI picture files should be less than 2 meg.

Within a single post you may now upload 2000 K or 2 meg total.

I am not able to upload an pictures.  I keep getting a message saying the path cannot be found.

The forum was moved to a new server.  I'll check this out and make sure the forum is working properly.  This may be an issue associated with the move.  I just noticed that spell check isn't available.

That's great.  Sounds like things might be getting back to normal.  We need more driving and less working.

Thanks for sharing, Chet

Quote from: Russ T. Fender on May 17, 2021, 08:05:13 PMDo you have any idea what the opening right behind the vacuum tank is used for?

Manifold vacuum line for wiper motor.  Runs down and along side the vacuum tank.

Some differences, hopefully hear from others.

This is how mine was.., I can swear that it is original.., I have only owned the car since 2004  But it seems correct ?

Both cables are attached to the top screw of the gas peddle linkage hinge bracket along with the oil gauge line.  Cables to left and the oil line to the right.  My oil line is the small black line in the picture.  The bright coper line is vacuum going to the oil pump

Great news, it's always a good feeling to hear it run after such a long period of silence.

Congratulations.

What type of hardware was used to attach the running board to the frame supports.
or
What did you use to secure the boards.

Tks Chet...
