My assumption is that this wasn't a stock car but the antics were real.  I like the guy with his hand out the window trying to push the car away from the ditch.  That would be me, just plain stupid to think you can push the car to keep it upright.., but then somebody had to try it in order to figure out that it wasn't a good idea.

Not much in the way of special effects, in the 20's you were really a stunt driver.
