Title: horn button repair
Post by: Rusty on April 10, 2010, 08:00:33 PM
The black hard plastic that is below the steer wheel levers was missing a piece about 1 inch long.  I used JB weld putty and molded a piece to fit the opening and then after 30 minutes filed and sanded it down to match the same shape.  I then used a very light spray of black spray can paint to the area.  You can not  tell unless it is pointed out to you.

You may have heard of it before but if not than there is an adhesive called panel bond that we use in collision work to glue quarter panels on. Black in color, takes 24 hrs to completely dry but it can be molded and will last longer than you or I will ever care. I have used it to make molds even, absalutely amazing stuff and if you are ever inclined than I would suggest trying it.
