Glad to see you up and riding. Not bragging, but my 30U stays here in the shop that I run my buisness from. I can take it out any time. The big problem is I see it evry day and it distracts me from my work.

I know this is about 4 banger Plymouths but I want to show you my newest project. It's a 1973 D 100 pick up my daddy purchased new. The only new vehical he ever had. My wife and I dated in this truck. I just finised rebuilding the transmission, It has a skip in it I belive to be a burn valve but other than that it runs great. I haven't made up my mind how mush I will do to it I would like to keep it like my daddy left it,

General Discussion / Re: tie rod ends

The pipe I usea was just 8th" water pipe, That will screw on to a grease gun fitting that will fit on to the zerk, The rod I used was a shank bolt that fit snugly in to the pipe. Put some grease  in the pipe slide the shank bolt in it put it on the zerk an hit the head of the bolt with a malit, Works most every time. I atached a picture

Northen Tool has a tool you can fill with grease and, put it on you zerk fitting and hit the plunger with a hammer, This forces the grease through. I made one from a piece of pipe with a rod in it, workes really well.

Our trip was posted on a forum, ADVrider.com. click on ride reports, then TWO Thumpers and a Twin by John Snyder, You can read the whole thing. I had a great time evan though my bike gave me some trouble. Glad to be back home and in the shop. This was a trip we had planed for over a year and I have wanted to go to Alaska for a long time. Now I have been to all the states except Hawaya, Don't know when I will get there. One a side note, I went to a antque bike show yesterday there was a 1928 Lincione there and a 1927 Cole both in very good shape. Just can't get away from the old cars.

Chet, How do you like the floor pads. I have been looking at them. I have my originals but they are dried out and warped. Is it very hard for you to get your floor board up to reach the battery. I have a small rectanglar hole I can lift out to check the water but to get the hole floor out is a job
