Looks like your doing a great job on the car. Thanks for the pictures of your battery box. You will need a fuse in the back of the amp meter before electricity will go to the rest of the car. Be carful and prepaired to disconnect the battery if you see any smoke.

I can't conferm it. The gentelman I got my 30 U from worked in a machene shop. When he got the car he need to pull the wheels of so he made this tool. When I got the car he gave me everthing he had with it. The tool works just like the original. If you have the hub caps you can take one to a machene shop and they can make it.

Chet, My 30 U has wooden runming boards. As far as I can tell they are the origanel. If someone has changed them it was done more than 40 years ago.

AllPar says my engin # should start with a U, Mine starts with PB, I had to put a Cam gear in it shortly after I got it, I got the gear from EGGEs, They didn't ask for any #s. It's cools by thermo and it has the vacum fuel pump. The gentelman I got it from had put an electric pump on it but I found a vacum pump, I like it better. Still curius about these engin#s

My wife and I were riding around last Sunday and we took the GPS with us, The speedometer in this car is dead on with the GPS, we were surprised at how accurate it was.

My 30u is real comfortebel at 40 mph, Plynouth says it will do 65, youcouldn't hold it in the road if you hit a pot hole or had to stop at that speed, The other thing I was wondering, Long hill climes with the vacume fule pump, will it keep enough fule in it

Thanks. I have seen that picture before but couldn't find any infor on it. My car has a Tillotson carb on it, I want the brass Carter but haven.t found one yet. It has a canister on the the intake of the carb but there is no filter in it or know way o put one in it, It just has holes in the back to let air in. I am going to the Auto fair this fall I'll keep an eye out for the right one.

I aquired a 30u in a trade afew months ago, It has been repainted and upolstered, other than that it seems to be close to original, The carb has been changed, There is my question, no where in any publications or pictures have I found an air filter on these old Automobils, That bugs me, I like it to look original but I want a filter on and haven't found one taht looks right, Any sugestions
