Title: Drag link ball
Post by: Russ T. Fender on May 06, 2018, 09:32:15 PM
Is there a source for the drag link ball on the 30-U?  I believe it is the same for the Q through PD. Thanks

Are you needing the top part in the picture below.

The drag link ball I need is at the other end of the drag link. It looks like it is a 15/16" ball on a tapered shaft with a threaded end that attaches to the steering knuckle arm.

I know which one you mean and I think, worst case, the one you need would be easier to have made than the one I showed in the picture.  Finding a NOS part might be a bit of a challenge have you considered a machine shop or maybe a call to Then and Now Automotive.

That is the one.  I will try Then and Now.  I considered having it welded up and machined down but am not keen on that given the potentially devastating consequences of a failure at that point.
