Title: Manufacturers plate
Post by: Russ T. Fender on April 07, 2021, 05:08:28 PM
Is this plate mounted on the inside of the firewall? It has been off the car so long that I don't remember where it goes.

Yes it attaches to the two small holes on the firewall near the Vacuum fuel pump.

Thanks Chet.  What threw me is that those holes have been closed up with primer and paint.  The picture is just what I needed!

How is your project coming.  Have you fired up the engine yet ?  Myself I haven't done anything with cars lately just taking a needed break.

I have not started the engine up yet as I decided to wait and get the body back from the painter and set it on the chassis first.  Unfortunately, I need the assistance  of a few strong helpers to do that and since all of my friends are either my age or older it is proving to be a bit difficult to line up the manpower.  I have done it before myself but now that the painting is done I don't want to mess that up.

I tried to post a picture of where I am now but for some reason when I hit "attachments and other options" nothing happens.  I will try again later.
