Thanks to a heads-up from frankp I was able to purchase a set of what might be NOS running Boards for my 29 4dr sedan.  Obviously they have been banging around for some time but no rust and near perfect shape.

The rubber appears to be original: The ribs are raised not the flats.

Below is the repro rubber with the flats raised and the ribs flat:

Very Close !!

I will most likely clean up the aluminum and use these boards just as they are.
My car is finally whole again.

Hay Ted,

How goes things.  Nice to hear from you. How are things going down your way.
Life has certainly taken a detour but this to will pass.  A little sacrifice for a bit and hopefully we will all emerge better and stronger.  It's good you can get out for a drive. I'm sure many people were given an instant smile to see your grand old car.

Cheers,  Chet

I believe you can buy those rivets from Restoration Supply.

Hi Chet and all, doing well down here in Florida. Haven't had the car out in a few weeks, but plan on getting it out this weekend for some exercise. Your car is really coming along well!

Thanks Ted & Ski

So far so good.  I haven't heard of anyone on the forum being affected health wise.  The car is coming along great.  I am now working on the interior.  I am going to try and use my original seats.  They may not be factory original to the car but are very old and could possibly be original leatherette. We'll see.   Everything else I will have to make from new materials.  I think keeping as much of the old as possibly adds a little history to the cars story.   One step at a time.  This may be a slow process searching for the right materials.  The headliner will be easy to install since the exterior covering isn't installed yet.  This was planned out to make the creation & installation of the headliner as simple as possible.

Cheers, Chet...
