General Discussion / Re: Distance Driving
December 16, 2012, 01:31:21 PM
I put about 150 miles a year on my "Q", but it is all short hops.
#2
My Q seems pretty comfotable around 35 mph

I have Battery Tenders for all my cars, both 6 and 12 volt.  Used them for years with no issues.
#4
I went the silicon route for a while, but I had problems with it so I am back to good old DOT 3 and just rebuilding every 5-8 years.
#5
The trim on my "Q" is unfinished.  The car was restored in the 60's and I have no way of knowing if it is correct or not.

Sure, I can do that.  They are in a toolbox mounted on the driver's running board.  I wrap them individually so they don't rattle.  you can e-mail me at mopardave@aol.com

I have a couple of the tools that came with my '28.  Certainly not the whole list.  I will have to dig them out and see what is there.

Been there, done that.  Rear brake line also.  It's a good thing they aren't fast cars!

That looks like the light in my '28.  I can't get a pic until I get the car out....if it ever stops raining!

Thanks Gary, but I don't think I will change it now.  I am thinking about selling the car and someone asked me.

While we are on the subject of wheels, can anybody tell me if the natural finish wheels on my cat are correct?  They were finished that way during the restoration in 1975.

that picture was taken last summer, Glenn.  Yesterday's snow is just about all gone today.

The width of the stripe on my car is 1/16 inch.
