Thanks Chet.  The drive is half the fun!

All:

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.  In keeping the family tradition alive (over 40 years), I attended the 62nd Annual Volusia Region AACA show in Ormond Beach, FL this past weekend.  It was a 200+ mile round trip in the old gal; drove down Friday afternoon so I could be in the gaslight parade that night (113 cars total) and was at the show on Saturday before heading back.

Coincidentally, this is the same weekend every year for the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona Beach right down the road where there are typically 5-6,000 cars in town for that show.  Both are great events if you've never been and the weather is usually perfect.

Chet, my wood floor is just painted black, not sure if that's the way it was originally built. There's no other protection or metal underneath on my car.

Mine is just for decoration...the back tag is a Florida "horseless carriage" tag which is permanent.  I could probably put anything I wanted on the back as I'm sure I'd never be pulled over for speeding or anything else 😀

Something a little different...since this car came out of Syracuse, NY when my Dad found it in '62, he put on this tag at some point.  After some thought, I decided to re-paint it myself, as it was looking a little ragged to me with everything else about the car being in nicer condition.  Not perfect, but came out pretty good.

Great explanation and pics Chet!  As you know, I did this last year and it is fairly easy if you take your time with it and follow the process as you laid out.

Hi Tom, I haven't put on yet.  Had a couple of shows I went to and wanted to wait until after the season here to fool with them. Had no time in between. I'm might drive down to Ormond Beach next weekend for the AACA Show (Turkey Run same weekend in Daytona a few miles south), so it will most likely be a project after Thanksgiving. Thanks for asking, I'll post updated pics once complete.

I just have the "P" hub caps.

I noticed the brake reservoir too...looks like a fuel pump where the vacuum tank should be (looks like my Carter fuel pump I have on my frame or an old AC Delco fuel pump)

Thanks!  I'll take four...I'll PM you.

If anyone has 4 clamps that will work, please let me know if you'd like to sell.  Found some on eBay, but the price plus shipping is ridiculous.
