Title: Something Different - License Plate Refinish
Post by: racertb on November 26, 2019, 10:03:47 AM
Something a little different...since this car came out of Syracuse, NY when my Dad found it in '62, he put on this tag at some point.  After some thought, I decided to re-paint it myself, as it was looking a little ragged to me with everything else about the car being in nicer condition.  Not perfect, but came out pretty good.

Looks great!  I doubt the convicts did better when those plates were made!

Looks good Ted,

I found a 1929 PENN plate in an antique store and at some point will want to do the same.  I don't know where my car originally came from but I bought it from a guy in Crawford Florida on October 16th, 2006.  Delaware doesn't have a front plate so I could hang it in the front for decoration.

Mine is just for decoration...the back tag is a Florida "horseless carriage" tag which is permanent.  I could probably put anything I wanted on the back as I'm sure I'd never be pulled over for speeding or anything else 😀
