Title: 1929 model U distributor housing

I see on ebay today a new 29 u   CNC machined aircraft aluminum dist. housing listed from Germany $399.00 plus shipping. Looks very well made from photo

Sure looks nice on the photo.  The orginial was pot metal and was never expected to last 80 years.  Turns out thAt is the one of only few parts that was good on mine.  Go figure

Tom Hannaford at Then and Now machines them...I bought one and fixed my timing issue mystery last year.

Did you have to do any machining, or was it ready to install?

Bolted right in and came with the distributor drive and gear.   I sent my distributor in and they checked it out for me...it was fine.  They sent the distributor and drive back to me ready to install.   Just had to static time and then fine tune.  That was my timing problem all along that I dealt with last year and all my posts trying to get the car running.
