Title: spring bushes
Post by: 29roadster on November 29, 2010, 08:53:43 AM
Hi  has anyone used neoprene bushes in the front and rear springs, I'm thinking  of removing  the brass ones putting in neoprene and use the original pins "no need to grease" any thoughts?

One thing comes to mind. The four wheel drive guys use urethane for all their suspension bushings with long lasting results. It comes in a verity of colors. It is a little more expensive but works great.

Ha your right Wetsuits are made from neoprene.  Urethane should be ok or stay original???

The orginial ones lasted 80 years, that is not bad.  The car will most likely never see the use/abuse it did in the first 10 years of it life.  Is seems a answer for a problem that did not exist but that is just my two cents.  Sometimes it is worth more and other times, less, alot less.
