Whats this car?
« on: July 17, 2011, 09:34:00 PM »
Pictures attached. I saw this old vehicle at a car show this morning. I Took a few pictures, one of the emblem on the radiator shroud and a couple of the car. What kind of  car is this, I am thinking a Dodge maybe?

Also, this car had a vacuum fuel pump, The guy wouldn't sell it because somebody was maybe going to take the whole car, but, he has several vacuum pumps that he would sell, but does not know what they are for, and I have never seen one for the Plymouths. Can anybody post some pictures of a few years (maybe 28-29 & 30) and if he has one like it I would like to get one.
Thanks you
SD Glenn

In the radiator emblem the word on the top is STANDARD the bottom SIX.  This is a Dodge Brothers Standard Six 4 door sedan 110-inch wheelbase.  I think this might have been 28 or 29.  See the Allar website for more info.  Walter P bought DB in July 1928 a month after production started on the 1928 Plymouth.  By 1930 they used the Senior Six with 120-inch wheelbase and the 8 cylinder line.  The Standard Six might have only been around 28 & 29 don’t know ?  I found two style emblems for the Standard Six one silver & blue and the other gold & blue

See link

This might be a very rare car ???

PS:  Search this site for more on Vacuum Fuel Pumps

28&29 Plymouth used
