Big Progress

After 3 years I have finally rounded second base and heading for third.  I picked up the Fenders and trim parts from the painter today and will deliver the body tomorrow.  I still haven't made a final decision on the color but it will be Blue with vermillion pin stripping.  Will be doing assembly for the last time shortly.

LOL, I figured you mis understood me . I'll be heading down first nice day Wednesday or Thursday . 
    A quick question Chet , remember when we had thread about the floor pans for engine compartment . You made up sketch . I cannnot find that with its measurements . May have lost copy you send me , at times over last two years my head was in fog with meds . But now am clearing up and moving forward with projects on my truck . I want to at least get metal stock for Winter work .

I can do either day whichever one is nicer. 

BTW... I have a scan of the document I sent you which will print on 8.5/14" paper.  I will bring a copy and explain about the folds.  The size of the steel stock would have to be 17" considering the folds.  The tracing is of the finished piece.  I'll explain when I see you.

Hi Ted,

I don't know the exact details of the paint manufacture.  I am working with Maaco.  The shop here in Dover does an incredible amount of work and as of yesterday he had 3 other classic cars., one of which was a 57 Chevy.  They also recently finished a 1927 Chrysler which also had wood wheels.  I have added work in addition to their usual prep.  Basically sand, primer filler, sand/repair blemishes, sealer, two coats of premium color, clear coat.  Their paint expert Mike is a real nice guy and very knowledgeable and enthusiastic to work on the car.  Large shop, they do complete body work, many employees.

He is matching my color to the spots on my car that show the original color.   Once complete I will see him to evaluate paint variations on actual metal not paint chips.  I also have paint codes for Blue provide by John F..   So for the time being with the car in the shop the final paint color has not been decided yet but will be Blue.  The wife likes darker rather than lighter, like the Marine Blue.
