Dashboard Warning for 28-30 Plymouths.

On my 29 the 6 Dashboard slotted screws that hold the dash in place are an obsolete screw size.  They are round head screws with a thread size of 1/4-24TPI.  Modern machine screw sizes are 1/4-20 and 1/4-28.  The 1/4-24 isn't used anymore especially in a round head with a diameter of 0.567 (approx. 9/16)  and a head height of 0.150 (approx. 5/32)  If you work in this area try not to damage these screws because they are not readily available.  I believe the tap and die may still be available if you have your own metal lathe.

Classic Exotic has 1/4 24 screws but not the correct head size:

Chet,
Thanks!  Their 1/4-24 Pan head screw looks close!
One of mine popped off when I was installing my dash, liked to never found it in the garage!
