Hi All

Anybody live close to Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, United States as there is a set of wheels for the 29Ply on ebay that I thought of purchasing but I need to find some where to store until I can arrange freight to Australia - if anyone else is bidding on them let me know and i will not bid against you.

Cheers

General Discussion / Finally got Her Home
January 30, 2012, 11:28:28 PM
Hi All

Finally got the Ply 29U home from Central Victoria on a stinking hot Sunday.  The last pic is of my 8 year old son with his grandad's grave in the background- as I grew up in central and my grandfather (farmer and boilermaker) and father (Farmer and Fitter/Turner) gave me the love of fixing things and cars - It was my sons idea to go and show them the latest project - he said "they really loved it dad" - hope you blokes don't think this is morbid but I thought it was a lovely gesture on his behalf!!!!

Hope all is well

Wayne

PS Sorry Tony i didn't get the chance to drop through as it was bloody hot and the young bloke was about buggered - my apologises once again
PSS the young bloke has a love of cars as well to the Australians can you guess the classic car on his shirt

General Discussion / Where Did I Get Here?
December 27, 2011, 07:15:53 PM
Hi All

Found this girl 29U Ply tourer on ebay she is located in Bendigo Victoria about 2.5 hours from where I live -  she had been in storage for 40 years and he just rolled it out and wanted to sell it - the good thing is she has come from a dry climate - dont have any numbers yet will have them on pickup - also I know the medallion on dash is missing (bummer!) - The bloke I bought it of said he thinks it came from Adeliade but lost a lot of information back in the Ash Wednesday fires (1983).

Anyway another 29U project

General Discussion / Need to Move Plymouth
September 15, 2011, 10:17:03 PM
Hi all

Need to move 29u Plymouth Roadster from Brisbane Queensland to Geelong Victoria - what is the best way she will roll but not drivable  - container - car trailer - flat bed??

Priced one way car trailer cost around a grand to do it - plus fuel and 4 days on the road - might be cheaper options

any suggestions would be appreciated

Check it out as it is interesting to see what bodies, and how may were made during the different periods - On top of article you can change the years of production by clicking the 'Select Period'

Anybody else have information on body building in Australia or the US?

General Discussion / 1929U Plymouth

Hi all - have just put a deposit on a 29 Ply hope to pick it up the end of the week everything being equal - I pretty sure she was a roadster that had been converted to a Ute (pickup) - got it out of Queensland Australia - then will get it home to Geelong in Victoria and start assessing where to start - First question I need to answer do I take it back to a roadster or rebuild as it is? It is a rather extensive project - I can only make out some of the VIN number medallion that is located to the left side of the dash (as she is a right hand drive) - The code I have so far is GP-?20-C - the motor number is U5287. I hope this make sense

I know I will be asking a lot of questions in the future - so thanks in advance.

Cheers
