General Discussion / Thanks for all the help
March 13, 2014, 07:57:10 PM
Hi Everyone

I wanted to let you all know that I have swapped my 30U for a 1954 Dodge pickup. It's been a lot of fun and educational being allowed to learn and make needed repairs to my Plymouth for the last few years. I have told the new owner about the forum. He will be checking it out soon. I'll still be checking in from time to time Thanks again for all the help.

General Discussion / Re: Question on front seats

Mine is also 3/4 inch. I believe that the second hole in my frame was put in by someone trying to get the seat a little closer to the peddles. This works for me as I'm not that tall.

In my 30U Coupe There is a rail that runs along the bottom of the seat. On the front lip of the rail there are 2 small metal pegs tat the front board of the seat bottom rest on There are 2 holes on the board allowing the bottom of the seat to be adjusted about 2 inches closer to the steering wheel.

General Discussion / Can't find engine number.
June 28, 2011, 10:20:56 PM
I believe that I have a 1930U Plymouth. The body number is 383 373. The first thing I noticed that was odd is the trans is a 4 speed and the motor is different from any others I have seen in a 30U. I can't locate the engine number. I have found a casting number. It is 682529. There is water pump and manuel fuel pump on my motor. The distributor is on the right side to the rear of the oil filter. Any help in identifying the motor is welcome. I also want to thank all members for the posted information on rebuilding the brake system. I have put it to good use.
