Does 30U ment to have a thermostat ?

HI, Hope thing are going well for you. Hope your weather is better than ours. Tough time all across the country.

On my 30U I find that I have to keep the radiator water down to the top of thelarge water inlet that comes off the end of the raditor hose, otherwise with expansion I get water blown out.

Good question about the thermostate. According to my parts book there is a "THERMOSTAT assembly" listed for the 30-U, PA, and PB. Part number 391269. I have no idea what it might have looked like as I don't have one either.

I would think the late 30U with a water pump had a thermostat. The early 30U with therm o siphon didn't. But both of these cars are low presure and if you fill it to the top it will burp it out
