That nut is listed as thrust adjusting nut . You must first loosen dash bracket and bottom clamp . So that says to me it is fixed to tube . The nut / tube is then snugged down and backed off 1/4 turn . This is done with front end off ground .

Bratton's  sells replacements Model t stuff . Also company in Uk makes . Refer to Henfab '31 Dodge Uf10 Panel rebuild on AACA and my have on is dash rebuild you-tube vid . Let me know if you cannot find . You buy cable with suare end and cut to length and crimp om keyed end .

Heay, Racertb .  How did those two wire clamps fit on the bottom hoses ? Still have more of that size .

Got these OEM . Shown on 2-3/8" od pipe . Yours for couple buck each plus postage .

If you have unidentified holes in cowl on passengers side . It was probable the taps for a cab heater .

  Rather then solding on to button . I cut wire back , stripped off insulation . Then soldered spliced . Covered wire with black heat shrink , and all with green shrink . Diameter must be kept to minimum . Wire ( shown ) was so wrinkled it was hard to remove .

ON inner rim front is crown and  rear is flare . Here is pic of front . Have  no outer rims .

Yes , no match mine are 19" across rim as you show . Also have flare at rim edge .

Well it's over . Another great Hershey Meet . Great to meet up with you Chet . Hope some other here on forum got to go, weather could not have been better . It showed with the crowds . A note on there program said if you walked all the isles at this years show . It would be at least 22miles . Most on other forums say with walking around vendor tables bump Fit Bits watches  in to thirties .
  Chet we forgot to get a pic at Richs stand this year .

LOL, I figured you mis understood me . I'll be heading down first nice day Wednesday or Thursday . 
    A quick question Chet , remember when we had thread about the floor pans for engine compartment . You made up sketch . I cannnot find that with its measurements . May have lost copy you send me , at times over last two years my head was in fog with meds . But now am clearing up and moving forward with projects on my truck . I want to at least get metal stock for Winter work .
