Thanks Chet .  The pipe is under tank to back end . Can be seen in this pic .  It shows going back over axle ,down between axle and oval tank , then to back  . I am surprised had no responses here or aaca . Maybe cars are different then the trucks .

Was thinking same thing . Just finished 8 wks Physical rehab and feeling good . Removed my master cylinder from the '31 Dodge truck and send out to be sleeved . Was creaping down on long hold and was last part not rebuild two years ago when truck went on road . Hope to get on a manual fuel shutoff system by tank next week .
Did you get your engine back yet Chet ?

Thoses have split size inner . Your original are 1 1/4 straight thur . Hagen Auto Parts was about 70 ea . to do SS and  rebuild like new . Had him do my four and reline shoes in 2016 was under 5 hundred . Linings where bonded on not as original riveted . Do not know about lining hardness . Seems to have metallic in , think maybe should be softer  other may know more .

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all !
Hello Chet ,, my present was a good doctor's report this week , all is stable and weight is still coming off .

The best is made by George at customhubpullers.com . They are pricey but hand made and will remove the most seized hub . Yours may not need as it looks to have not been weathered much . If you need 2 3/8" can loan mine for postage . There are probability originals available on AACA forums . Would recommend always having one . And remember assemble is clean and dry on taper . You can lube key way .

I would say factory ,during assembly . The bracket on back of tire  goes direct down to frame .  The parts are list in Master Parts Book .  Trunk maybe dealer, as need not be painted .

That looks factory like my truck . You can see bar and lock system .  In '31 they moved to passenger side . Also could order opposite for second spare .

Either borrow an AAmco1750 tool .  Or make your own like this one I did . There are pics of other homemade ones . Do adjustments as instruction describe with a feeler gage to give clearances to get your centering  / major adjustment .

General Discussion / Re: Brake Bleeders

The bolt is a cap on mine .  You take bolt out and bleed as normal or put on nipple with tube to keep area dryer . Should have any autozone type place .  Bleeder them self also on ebay . When had mine sleeved they where nice enough to replace rounded off bleeder with nice original patina ones . Part of tool kit was bleeder rubber tube and nipple check BOI .

Yes !  That's how it is done , good . .. Mine says oil max 45 in salesman manual in prior post and 40 in BOI.  So went between as mine was high also . Remember oil visc . will affect . Was just about to down load same info from my book .

Yeah Guys this is same engine set up as my truck . Mechanical fuel pump , brass bowl DRT carb , separate generator and starter , mechanical timing advance and non pressurized cooling with water pump .
You need to adjust your pressure down and first up oil to 30 weight's , my book calls for 40's in summer . I used 10w-40 in diesel grade . Lots of forum discussion on oils and weights . Refer to Chet's engine thread for copied info from my manual BOI . This has how to adjust pressure and test running pressure of oil system .
