Here is that scan of that page, turns out to be a particular section of the Plymouth master parts book,  whomever owned the book prior to me did not take very good care of it unfortunately.

I am going to assume that you guys recognize this now that I have posted it but if not than I will scan and post the rest of the pages.

I would like to see those scans.  Could you use a water based heater on a car with thermo siphon cooling system?  Would that work?
Rusty

Evidently ( upon looking closer at the catalouge ) the heater was not available for the Plymouth until the 1930 series, it was however offered on Dodge in 28 and without thinking I presumed it would be avail across the board.

It shows the manifold heater that is pictured here I think within the thread and also the Tropical brand heater as being available on the 30 U PA PB PC.

Glad I coule entetain you Glen and sorry to everyone else for the confusion, only trying to help.

Thanks for the info, I know the info was available there but also alot of other info that raised to many other questions so I was trying to stand clear.

BTW as you may know the Evansville plant was the old Graham Bros facility

28 models were the first offered by Dodge with hydraulic brakes, interstingly enough lougheed worked with the Graham Bros in the mid twenties and so as far as I can remember ( I can easily verify if there is any interest ) it was Graham trucks that debuted this braking system in a big way

From what I have 28 was the first year a conventional liquid heater was used in a Dodge Chrysler PLymouth Desoto vehicle. I have a large brochure showing this heater and many other Plymouth only accesories but I assumed that it was pretty common knowledge so I never bothered mentioning it.

If there is any interest I can make some scans

Interesting about engine colour scheme !
As you know I now have a correct motor for 34 Dodge , it looks to be in untouched condition by wiring and accessories and is all silver and I am wondering if all export motors for 34 were all silver ? Also every motor for this era ( in Australia ) has been silver . Would it be possible colour was changed for export ?
Good question and you will get an answer here, I cant answer it but I can almost guarantee that it would be answered, this is a thread I have goin.........http://forums.aaca.org/f143/australian-dodges-history-268816.html

What was refered to as the Silver Dome era ran from 1928 to 1948. According to the POC Judging Guides the pre-35 had black blocks and silver heads. After 35 the heads and block were bothe silver. Refer to the POC site, reference for all the Judging info including colors for most everything.

Gary
Thanks

Were these engines originally painted silver and if so than what years would have been this correct color and if not silver than what was original. Thanks

I am very sure that the 28 & 29 were black with a silver head.  The trademark Silver Dome.  Just when they painted the whole engine silver you may want to pose that question on the POC site.

Sorry I now realize that you were speaking about the Dodge.

Chet...

Chet, can you tell me more about the silverdome, was this Plymouth only engine, what was the reason for painting the head silver, what was special about it I guess? Stupid question prob. but whatever, wont know unless I ask.

Thank-you for thes response, Dodge used an all steel Budd body so not sure what you are reffering to by wooden frame unless of course the car was an export.

Only wood that would have been found was floorboards up until 1930 ( In 28 they were also experimenting with steel floors ) and tack strips for upholstery/headliner ect.
I believe it was 31 that Dodge went full scale with steel floorboards again
