Search on Ford model A T for open body cars.  Probably a Trico setup for an open car.  Actually that is what I am using on my 29 sedan. The on/off is on the Trico motor.

You will need to do some research to find a best fit. Is there a vacuum line going to the windshield.
Really nice picture.

Congratulations, Chet
Great Job and nice photos.  My weekend was a wash.  Literality!!  Glad it all worked out.

Very true.

Just curious, how did you mount the switch.

Hopefully things work out better for your daughter.  Weather here is not looking good for Sunday.

A picnic is one thing but a wedding is a much bigger deal. I wish you good weather for your granddaughter's special day.

Good luck

The wife and I took out the 29 for a 22-mile run around the neighborhood.  The fuel pump seems to be working properly and the brake light switch that Touring29 recommended installed and worked just fine.

Now if it doesn't rain this coming weekend, we will drive up to our nearby state park to meet up with our local car club.  Now to attend to the Bugs & Pollen collected on our venture.

Cheers, Chet...

Quote from: Russ T. Fender on April 22, 2023, 03:21:29 PMIt can't act as a ground.  It has a rubber component that absorbs vibration in addition to working as a stabilizer.  The engine should be grounded with wires from the bell housing to the frame.

I stand corrected.  :)

Grounding fixture which provides positive ground to the firewall from the engine. Attach to engine head and firewall.

You're welcome, Chet
If you have the same dome light as I do, there is a spring steel ring holding the glass in place.  You will need to gently pry the retainer out and then the glass will come out.  PS don't drop it.

Quote from: Russ T. Fender on April 13, 2023, 04:52:12 PMI have replaced the switch without having to bleed the brakes and there was no fluid loss. I always assumed that if the rest of the system is air tight no fluid would drip out and no air would get in.

Sounds good to me.  Thanks

Tried to get out to a club meeting with the 29 but have been working on things since yesterday.  Long story for another time.

Question: I now have a bad brake light switch.  When I change this do I have to bleed the lines? Has anyone experienced a switch not working and after bleeding the lines the problem corrects itself?

I did however fix a chronic problem with the Vaccuum fuel pump.  The float would jam occasionally. Not anymore.   :)

Definitely a 29U. The 29 U engine started with serial number U999 and ran to U110000

The 28Q was a Maxwell engine.
