Title: Coupe sear shelf
Post by: Russ T. Fender on April 23, 2021, 11:02:17 AM
Does anyone have pictures of the shelf and how it is attached behind the seat on a 30-U rumble seat coupe.  Mine was in-artfully replaced at some time in the  past and I would like to get it right before reupholstering.  Thanks

Hope this helps it isn't easy to climb in and take the pictures from inside the rumble seat.

to add, the material is just rolled over from the top, from the back the shelf material looks bluish to me.

My car has a Briggs body with the rectangular rear window and I am always finding things that are unusual about it.  Your pictures of the rumble seat coupe "package shelf " are going to help a lot but they also highlight some differences that I am going to have to work around.  I have restored quite a few early cars over the years but my Plymouth is proving to be the biggest challenge.  Hard to believe but I had more reference material to work with on my 1908 Autocar!  Without the  help from this forum  it would be guesswork at best!  Thanks again.
