It has been found by myself and others . That connection between fuse holder end and brass bus into gage and screw is riveted and loosens . Most clean and rosin good and soldier connection . Use heat sinks and disconnect from vehicle .

What size was it ?  Look like mine from plug hole is 1/4"  on O.D..

  Info . from salesman's cat.

My book for its 196ci U engine said to set relief for 45 max .  And at normal running of 30 MPH should be 30-40 PSI .

Note corrected  max to 45 psi for relief to open . I must check my gage calibration  and adjust down as saw tonight it is up to 55 on start-up but does operate in range said . Engine had been rebuild by PO . May have been tampered with , never thought much about it being problem on bearings .

Yes mine to . Also notice how regulator works by bleeding off extra pressure on whole system . Not having all oil run though it .

Those three are the way they bored the oil channels . On end you will see a plug for the cross channel that ties them together . All can be used to monitor oil pressure ,temperature add or remove oil ie. filter (partial type )  feed .

I do not think color ever changes .LOL . But one other advance to anti- freeze it also raise the boiling point for better cooling . Since we have non-pressurized systems would only be 212* a mere 32 above stat .

Went though similar with mine . But had over heating from white calcium deposits across top of fins . This from setting so long that fluid dried out in it, leaving calcium deposits . Rad shop said same, so I took CLR and put in it for 8 hrs and used flex arm coil brush across top every hour . Was able to get clean enough to pass water and never had over heating again .
Used green anti-freeze and if changed ever three, four years, should have all additives needed .

Would pressure lube engine before cranking . All bearing are dry . Can be done thur oil channel plugs with hand pump .
