I have been looking for a 6volt fuel pump that delivers about 2psi and (I suppose) a pressure regulator as well. Suggestions?  Model A type?  Mine came with a very worn out old pump that is useless. The vacuum one is gone.

Hey, you are following the same road I took last year. lol  I went to Andy Bernbaums, got the 6V fuel pump and a pressure regulator. I did not need the regulator, the pump actually did not put out enough pressure to require it. So, try with out, save 35 dollars, you can always put one on if needed.

I purchased a 2 psi 12 vdc pump from Autozone.  I have a converter that converts 6 vdc positive ground to 12 vdc negative ground.  Its been working for a couple of years now.  Hopefully I will get the vacuum pump working when I do a proper restoration.  For driving around it is very reliable.

Good luck,  Chet...

I have a carter 6 volt vain pump I got from NAPA. it mounts on rubber isolators so positive or negative ground doesn't matter. Before I got my vacuum pump working this pump worked well. I just left it in line and use it to prime  the vacuum pump now.

To Doug:  It would help if you have the model number or photo. What about adjusting the pressure?  Do you also have a pressure regulator?

Doug

http://www.thehotrodcompany.com/shopnow/show_item.asp?product_id=P4259. This isn't where I got mine but it is the same thing. You don't need a regulator if you are going straight to the carburetor. Like I said I just use mine to prime the vacuume  pump now and if I remember to cut off the petcock it doesn't need a prime.

I screwed up, I got the electric fuel pump and regulator from MACs, not Bernbaum.. I just ran across the receipt, total was 103.45 for both. 59. something for the pump, the rest for the regulator. I still have the regulator on the shelf, haven't had to use it yet. Sorry.

SD Glenn

Mine came to me without a vacuum pump. It is missing. A broken down electrical pump was in its place, so I am stuck with getting a low output six volt pump with (I presume) a pressure regulator in line with it.
