I used a black welt with a small bead between board and fenders.

I bought mine on ebay several years ago from an auto literature seller.  They are out there; good luck in finding one, RTF.

Checking the Master Parts List yielded no useful info to me.

A 1929U sales booklet for Coupe "Leather upholstery...(Mohair upholstery is available at small extra cost.)"  An artists' drawing shows a tufted leather seat for the Coupe
De Luxe Coupe "Its smooth, untufted upholstery of fine leather...."

Doesn't say anything specific about other models.  Four-Door Sedan "The softness and richness of the upholstery in the Plymouth Sedan is a delightful surprise..."

There is a pocket on the drivers' side rear door.  This is how my rear seat area was finished.  You'll want a curtain for the rear window.  Believe the arm rests were on the DeLuxe.

Didn't you speculate your car was a taxi?  That might account for the leatherette.  Certainly wear better than mohair.

Yep, Chet, you're right.  I can't get a better memory, but I can wear my new glasses.

Chet, here is what I think mine looked like.  Granted these are obviously old ones and door handle hole is difficult to see, but I believe ok.  frank

I'll say the wood is and the the foot rest plate.  The U shaped cut is for the manual starter pedal. The accelerator support is not familiar to me. Here's '29 set up with Bendix starter so you see similar layout.

Like it Chet.  Fill or crimp the back so the rod hits it to keep this piece from rubbing on hood.  Paint on paint = no paint.  There should be a gap between this part and hood.

Technically it didn't screw on, but was held in place on the cowl by 2 flat head screws with lock washers and nuts.  Think the nuts were the ever popular square variety.
