One of our Vintage car members told me that the impeller is what stops fan going forward and will slowly wear down impeller ! He also said that he believes it should have oil caps instead of grease nipples because underneath rear bush there is a small reservoir with a wick that goes into it . It does make sense although I have not seen the inside as yet !!!

Hi Guys !!
I have worked on quite a few engine rebuilds and tend to agree 100% with Rusty !
When my engine gets pulled down in future will be getting full rotating assembly balance. (Its not a smooth engine)

Thank you Doug and Gary !!
Looks like windscreen attaches  to outer wheels at each end of mechanizm, and there should be a sliding channel attached to top of glass ? At least now I know what to look for.

General Discussion / Re: Distributor slop
February 02, 2011, 03:27:05 AM
Hi Gary !!
What the others are saying about distributer slop sounds correct not really  worth worrying over, Vibration issue sounds like whole rotating assembly of engine may require balancing including clutch and pressure plate , My 30U engine has the exact same conditions .

General Discussion / Re: Tire repair
January 30, 2011, 06:31:14 AM
My 30u has a cam lever on each rim had to repair 1 lever today as I just purchased 5 new tyres, getting old tyre of the rim was not to hard ! Getting rim of the car  was another matter ,tying to seperate wood spoke rim from tyre rim (must be an easer way )
Must be a technique to it !!
