Hi Guys !
Should be able to find someone to make these from a sample ! A good blacksmith ,
If I was retired and with spare time I could copy my 30u brackets as they look the same !
Unfortunatly days are too short .
Cheers Tony.

General Discussion / Re: Repairing pot metal

Hi Frank !
I asked a similar question at the platers that I used they told me that pot metal is not the best material to plate and it's worse when it's old ,it also gets brittle with time !

If solar charger is to be used and left connected it must have a solar controller or reg connected between solar panel and battery other wise battery will overcharge !
I use a similar system on my boat and hasn't been turned of for 2 years now  still going strong ?

Sounds a little like valve train noise ,valve seats could be sticking with head of valves !
Timing chain to loose! Cam followers to sloppy in there bores !
With pins try lots of penatrine and heat that s not an easy one !
Good luck !

Hi Chet!
First thing I did was check oil level and was full , on closer inspection found that ends of needle rollers had been grinding them self at mainly one end  possible one cause is that wrong type of needle rollers used,
The ones causing problems are squared ends instead of rounded ends !
Just waiting on machine shop to do there machining so I can use caged rollers .
Cheers Tony

Hi all !!
Returned home last weekend from Club meet in Nunnawading , when i returned home noticed a slight grumbling sound, on further investigation and removal of gearbox ! found that front input shaft needle rollers are on there way out , they certainly did not last long under 600 miles in fact, going to have main shaft and input shaft modified to take torrington caged rollers they are supposed to be more durable. Fingers crossed !!
May even take this opertunity to look into a overdrive !
Cheers Tony.
