Hello,  I just went to an auction to get a model A but bidded on and won a 29 Plymouth instead.  I liked the look, no other reason.  I am a pretty good back yard mechanic of 40-50's cars, mainly flatheads.  This car is seems to run well, at least the 100 feet I had to drive it to the trailer.  I have found a lot of problems once I got her home.   I have ordered a owner manual off ebay but no luck with a shop manual.  I plan on a lot of questions this fall on this forum so  thanks is in order for future problems.

I have never seen a shop manual, I havent looked for one though. It would be really nice to have instead of guesswork, the owner manual and the Master Parts Catalog.

It is a 4 door sedan.  It ran great at the auction house but I left the key there (on the ground) so they are currently mailing it to me, so is currently not running.  I will need more work than I had hoped.  I had hoped the wheel bearings were loose , no, king pins are bad.  A 4 corner complete brake job is in order.  The wiring is half bare wire and the other is plastic coated (not orginial).  The good news is it has the orginial brass bowl carb and air cleaner.  I am glad I got a bead blasting cabinet.  rusty

Mine needed a four-corner brake job, but the shoes were fine. It was easy seeing how it is the modern hydraulic system that GM and Ford wouldn't adopt until well into the thirties.

If it is wired correctly (in order), that'll be half the battle. Just finding the cloth-covered stock is the other half. Someone else here should know if someone offers repop wiring.

Kingpins, hmmmm. No experience, but I heard they aren't very fun.
