General Discussion / Hubcap for 1929 Plymouth
March 15, 2011, 11:54:45 AM
Would someone, post a picture of the face of 1929 model hubcap, a close up? I am trying to make a cap that is as close to original as possible, my caps are so beat up I can't get a good reference from them. I will use the back parts and replace the face.  Thanks,

Hi All, I posted this on the POC Site, and also here for those that do not go to the POC Site. This is a WEB Site with old/newer car literature, etc
Good reading. Try this one, I don't know why it would not work. I'll try it after it is posted????

American car brochures
This has to be one of the neatest web sites whether you have gasoline in your veins or not.
This is a web-site featuring the original factory brochures for nearly every American car you have ever owned.
Pick the manufacturer, the year and the model.  Enjoy!

General Discussion / Re: Brake pedal travel
March 03, 2011, 11:09:08 PM
Hi Tony, The only thing I can think of is:  Does your pedal come all the way to the top? before you compress it to the floor. Is it getting a full stroke? You have all the air out, so the only other thing I can come up with is the brake shoes are not adjusted close enough to the drum, The bottom of the shoe and the top of the shoe. Is the brake pedal hard when you get to the floor? If it is then you need to adjust. If it is spongy, you have air. Good luck

Someone on this site mentioned, quite some time ago, to check with your local Auto paint supply people/store. They sometimes carry cans that could be converted to your use. You would have to add a fitting on the bottom. Might work for you.
Good luck,

Good eye... Measures 3 1/8 inch across, 5" top of can, 6" to top of cap.
This one does not have a vented cap, but I think it probable should. Good luck

Tony, attached (I hope) pictures of the reservior, no brake info sticker on it though. I did see one on this site earlier, it I see it again I will mail it to you. Excuse the messy underhood area, I haven't gotten it cleaned up yet. lol

Hi, sounds like this is a Thermo siphoning system versus a waterpump system. The 29 uses a 2 blade fan and is thermo siphon, I don't think you would have a bearing problem with a waterpump anyhow, (with the 4 blades).
The 30 model must be a waterpump system?? Someone with the 30 model may have the correct answer for this one.

I could send you a picture of the 1929 reservoir if you want. I don't know if it is the same as the 30 model thou, let me know I will send it.

General Discussion / Re: brake line hose
February 19, 2011, 12:37:18 AM
I got the hoses (3 of them) from  Andy  1-617-244-1118. I got them real quick and they fit great, and were of good quality. I also got the Wheeel cul kits, no problem there also. I'm happy with Andy Bumbaus. He might not be the friendlyest person I've talked to, but to everyone there own.

Gary, Guess I just need to shrug my shoulders on that one, I have heard the Flywheel needs to be in the correct place, maybe Chet or Tod (Maybe Tods Site has some info.) will come up with something for this problem. Good Luck,

There is no Oval shape medalion on the center of your dash? or you can't read it? I know of no other place to find that one.. some one else on this forum might have. Good luck with that.

General Discussion / Re: The vacuum wiper motor.
February 07, 2011, 10:24:14 PM
I haven't started looking yet, but.....
Is there a "special" type of wiper blade that will fit the 1929 wiper motor, or do you find something and make it fit? Or what do you all do?
