What holds the tailpipe on?  There appears to be no brackets rear of the muffler.

No he didn't. It is still available. He wanted a latter models gas gage that is not the same as this one.

One club member I know recommends Bobs Speedometer (bobsspedometer.com).  He does all types of instruments for old cars. Does good work but expensive.
You might also call Tom Hannaford at Then and Now Automotive Parts. he may be able to refer you to someone. When my speedo broke 15 years ago he referred me to a man in Naples Florida that repaired it for me, it works great now.

General Discussion / Yellow metals ?
February 04, 2018, 07:54:11 PM
Does anyone know if the differentials or transmissions on our Plymouth's have any yellow metals in them?  ( brass, bronze, or copper)

Chet,
I did check Lowes and Home Depot, then searched on-line.  The link you sent  is great!
Thanks!

The pole on my 4 door sedan is bent - was that way when I bought it years ago.  Any ideas on how to repair it would be appreciated.
The pole is thin wall, 1 inch in diameter, rolled, and appears to be riveted on the ends.
Most hardware poles I have looked at have an OD of 1.050 inch, so will not fit.
The rivet it very thin and long, an unusual size.
If I find a pole that is the right diameter, I still need to figure. Out how to rivet ends. I thought about anealing a finishing nail to make the rivet.

Or, I could try to figure out a way to straighten the pole.

If you are pleased with the rebuilders, it would be good if we could list them somewhere on the web site as references.

There is an excellent article on Trico wiper vacuum motors in the January 2017 issue of Skinned Knuckles.

I posted a picture of a radiator emblem I rechromed using a hobby kit.  It is on the off-site photo page.  Unfortunately the emblem's curve di not match my radiator shell, it was too flat and looke bad on the shell, so I din't use it.

(I could not figure out how to take the picture so that the file size would be small enough to load here.)

There is a fellow that makes the original style hose clamps any size you want for a very reasonable price.
