removal steering wheel

How do you remove the wood steering wheel?  Mine needs to be fixed.  The owners manual is not helpful

  .If my memory serves me right you haft to take the light rods out the remove the screws in the mica piece. Then remove the nut on wheel then i used a large bearing puller to put behind the whole wheel the attached a two post puller to it and pulled it off hope this helps and good luck craig
