What would be good number to torque the rods, mains, and head bolts?
I was going go with the following
rod 40
main 80
head 80
rusty

chetbrz

My Recommendation:

Head 60 - 70  65 as Target
Main  70 - 80  75 as Target
Rod   30 - 40  35 as Target

I would adjust to the low number first then dial the wrench up 5 or 8 ft/lbs.  On the second pass you should hit the mark pretty quickly.  If not you might be over torque the old bolts.  My wrench seems to run on the hot side.

For what its worth, my 2 cents...  Chet...
