Anyone use split rubber boots on there universals instead of leather covers ? Looking for modern number cross to fit a friends PA drive shaft .

I have not used anything modern and am not aware of a modern equivalent, but I got some leather and made one of these covers myself, based on an original.  I would think you could farm this out to someone, they aren't too hard to make.  You can keep the car as original as possible, plus the original style leather covers work fine.  Sorry, not helpful, but is another option.

yes , that was my recommendation to him . He is looking for quick and easy . It has rubber on now .
